For freshman secondary education major Brittany Albers of Centralia, Friday was a day filled with mixed emotions as she made the move from her home to Bluff Hall.
"I'm excited to be leaving home, but I'm still a little sad," Albers said.
Albers is one of the many freshmen who moved into the residence halls Friday, filling the dorms to maximum capacity with the largest freshmen class in SIUE's history.…

Oduwole note still considered evidenceStudent's note in car threatened shooting at a university
A note found in the car of former SIUE student Olustosin Oduwole will still be used as evidence against him in his upcoming court case for gun charges and making a terrorist threat.
Associate Judge Richard Tognarelli ruled that the evidence was properly obtained when SIUE Police searched Oduwole's car last July on campus.…

SIUE volleyball faces challenging road with Division I schedule
